O’Payo cacao beans are sourced from Waslala, the Bosawas nature reserve in the northern mountains of Nicaragua. This area was declared a biosphere reserve by Unesco in 1997. These fruity cacao beans are produced by a cooperative of about 150 farmers located in the largest rainforest in central America. Brasstown uses these unique, fair trade cacao beans in the manufacture of this Nicaraguan O’Payo.
Brasstown is a small bean to bar chocolate company operated in Winston Salem, NC.
