This is where the jungle meets the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The highest coastal mountain range in the world, the Sierra Nevada is located 5,775 meters above the Caribbean Sea. At the summit, it can be seen at a distance of 500 km, said to be the longest between any two points on Earth.
