Dandelion Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate factory in the Mission District of San Francisco. The beans for this bar come from Freddy Salazar’s estate near Ecuador’s northern coast. Chocolate maker Eric visited the farm in 2016, and he admires their commitment to quality from harvest to drying. In this bar, you will taste fudge brownies with cherry undertones and a hint of toasted nuts. This bar won a Bronze in the 2018 International Chocolate Awards. All of their single-origin chocolate is made with just cocoa beans and sugar; no added cocoa butter, lecithin, or vanilla. The chocolate is free of soy, dairy, eggs, and gluten, and it is made in a factory that does not process nuts.
